Hello

~ I'm Kirsten Ives and welcome to my website!

Just like me, this space is a work in progress. As my practice and experience continue to grow, so too will this site.

For many years, people have asked where they can find my pieces, and soon I hope to offer them here directly.

In the meantime, my work is available through private enquiries, pop-up shops and now at the Shepparton Art Museum (SAM) Shop!

Enjoy browsing and reach out if you have any questions.

My Story

Connection to nature is at the heart of my work. â€‹â€‹By using both commercial and foraged clays, I create botanical-inspired forms that often incorporate weaving with natural fibres.

Embracing a slow and mindful process, my ceramics honour the raw beauty of the materials I gather by hand. Each piece speaks to themes of grounding, memory, and quiet resilience.

Residencies

Jan 2025:

Solo residency for collection titled: Pathways – Connection through Growth, The Art Hub, Ballarat, Vic

My residency also included a community engagement activity where I spoke with visitors about growth and opportunities, and what this means to each of us. This activity then involved the participant either painting or writing their thoughts on fabric. This enabled a feeling of connection between myself as an artist, with the community around me, and hopefully the community feeling connected with their life’s changes and opportunities.
